Southern California's Shaker Express, which has been providing cargo terminal handling and trucking services to the air freight community since 1959, is concentrating 100% of their business on cargo handling, effective February 21, 2004.
Trucking services for customers will be taken over by Fastrucking, formerly Davis Trucking LTL. (The company changed its name at the time it took over Shaker Express' trucking services.)
Shaker Express expects virtually all employees, dispatchers, drivers, owner-operators, managers, and systems involved with the trucking portion of the business to join Fastrucking. All contracts and cartage agreements were transferred to Fastrucking on February 20, and customers will be dealing with the same employees in San Diego and Los Angeles for their shipments.
